French Martini

French Martini

The French Martini is one of those classic three ingredient cocktails that everyone needs in their drink repertoire. It’s the perfect colour for romantic celebrations and a refreshing cocktail for all occasions. It’s called “French” as the original cocktail developed in the 1980s in New York used Chambord, a black raspberry liqueur from France. While it’s an excellent choice for this drink, you can find a number of other raspberry liqueurs that you could use in this cocktail. Our smooth, creamy handcrafted Virga is the perfect vodka for this recipe. Shake some up and share the love!

  • 2 oz Virga Vodka
  • ½ oz raspberry liqueur
  • 1 ½ oz pineapple juice

Add the Virga, raspberry liqueur and pineapple juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a raspberry or a twist of lemon.

Virga Cranberry Bubbly

Virga Cranberry Bubbly

Vodka and cranberry is a classic combination and ours gets a little extra with the addition of Glanbùrn Bubbly artesian water, the same pure mineral water we use to make our Virga Handcrafted Vodka.

  • 1 ½ ounce Virga Vodka
  • 1 ½ ounce Glanbùrn Bubbly Artesian Water
  • 1 ½ ounce Nova Scotia cranberry juice

Add Virga Vodka to a rocks glass filled with ice. Add the Glanbùrn Bubbly and top with the cranberry juice. Garnish with a slice of lime and some fresh cranberries.

The Homecoming

The Homecoming

The pineapple has long been a symbol of hospitality on the East Coast. Sea Captains returning home from the West Indies would place a pineapple on their fence, an invitation to friends and neighbours to come enjoy food and drink and hear tales from their time at sea. We’re proud to keep this tradition alive with the Virga Homecoming, a warm welcome to celebrate in your home.

  • 2 ounces Virga Vodka
  • 2 chunks pineapple
  • 1 1/2 ounces pineapple juice
  • 1 1/2 ounces cranberry

Muddle the pineapple in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Add the Virga, pineapple and cranberry juices, ice and shake. Strain in a chilled cocktail glass or rocks glass filled with ice and garnish with a wedge of pineapple. Sociable!
